why wont my car start

i drove up to a stop sign and stopped and the car just died on its own, it immediately
started afterwards but was running only on 6 cylinders managed to drive it home where i
parked it.
from here on in the car didn't want to start again i have had it by 3 different dealerships
with no luck can anyone help me please some advice would be greatly appreciated!

600SL is a very complex engine and electronics. There could be any of several items causing the problem. Fuel filters, cheap gas (you MUST run premium), ignition, etc. I can't believe a M-B dealership couldn't trouble shoot it. Did anyone run an ODB-II scan on it?
