Car start but go very slow

My car start but go very slow i'm not sure if it has something to do with the batteries.  The reason i said that because before that happen the covertible didn't work.

The battery could and probably is the reason for the convertible, but if the car is slow that's a hole different cup of tea. (could be a valve problem)

No power when you step on the gas could be a clogged gas filter. Very common. Also, if you drive the car in the winter, don't use gas line defroster. It clogs the whole system. Another reason for no powers is bad fuel injectors. Also very common, and very expensive.
