SAE 10W-30 vs SAE-30 oil.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I will soon change the oil in my '88 Honda Accord manual transaxle. I have a Hanes repair manual that lists the oil for the temperature range in my area as "30", where in colder temps, the oils are 10W-30, 20W-40, etc. I am assuming I should use SAE 30 oil. Any harm in using 10W-30 in the transaxle?

I would not use 10W30 oil. Use the 30W oil. That is whats recommended.

Use the SAE30. May be a good idea to download a copy of the owners manual from the net and see the limits listed in it.

Thanks to both responses. I had a suspected the SAE 30 was the right choice.
