Asked by Lee Nov 13, 2013 at 09:35 PM about the 1989 Honda Accord DX Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the motor only has 60,000 miles on it. I change the oil religiously  using valvoline
conventional. this last time i also added a quart of lucas oil additive.  the car is in great
shape and i am the second owner   i just tuned up the motor adding air filter, plugs, cap
and rotor. i also cleaned the carburator.  the car only smokes after sitting for 8 - 10
hours. this is a very nice little car  but not worth another new motor.  any thoughts
would be appreciated.
