How can I find a specific part to repair my 1983 camry?

I need a new left front window regulator for my 1983 Toyota Camry hatchback, but my mechanics have no luck locating one. They suggested I try on my own, but I have no idea where to start! I'd also be willing to purchase the entire driver's front door to replace mine, but I can't find anyone selling 1983 camry hatchback parts!

either a salvage yard,ebay, or type it in on google and see where it takes ya.

New parts are best, like from the dealer, if they still have a listing for the part. For anything else, try www.car-part.com . It will tell you what yards have what you need.
