Timing???

Asked by James Nov 24, 2015 at 02:46 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Venture LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am having the same problem as the gentleman that asked the similar
question. Although I have an OBD II scanner. It comes back as multiple
cylinder misfire. I am also having trouble finding the instructions on how to
remove the timing cover. I have the harmonic balance pulley off, but do I have
to pull off all the pulleys from around the engine as well?

1 Answer

To get to the timing chain. I am not at home at the moment so I am not able to give the codes I was given. It was as if the timing jumped a tooth or more. I will further investigate this when I return home. Thank you.
