The old Corollas are really reliable- though the early 90s- (think '92 through '95) were the ultimates- if your car looks good with no rust, has all the maintenance and repairs up to date, you might be able to find a Toyotaphile who would pay $2000- that's pretty low miles for something that old, and even though they'll never be classics, a car like that can run forever with very little problems- I would keep it, because you may be able to only get $1500 for it- and something that runs forever is a dream come true
Good morning Jam, and Tom. Jam you are so right on. Toyotas, hold their resale value and are more reliable than any car I know of. The engineering is simply superior. That is what..about 95,000 miles? Something around that. It's less than halfway through it's lifespan with good maintenance. I'd call it 35~40 human years old. Starting to age but plenty of life left
i say you start at $1500 and work your way to what you feel comfortable with
David- if that Corolla has had its oil changed and regular maintenance done, I would say that mileage is only a QUARTER of its natural life, if the oil keeps getting changed- I have heard of 20th century Toyotas of all kinds that have over 500,000 miles on them- and the original owners have not had to crack the engines open! Talk about cheap transportation- that's what I call winning "the game"
