Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was having issues with my venture not starting again once it was warmed up and turned off. if i would wait about 45 minutes it would start right up but after it ran a while and i shut it off i would have to wait about 45 minutes again. after replacing the fuel filter and fuel pump nothing changed. I was told that it could be a bad computer could be causing it, I got a computer out of another 2000 venture with the same part number and put it in but now it wont turn over at all. is there some kind of relearning or reseting that has to be done when changing computers?

You may have to take it to a dealer to reset it. Install the old computer and see if it still starts.
