Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello! So my BMW x5 2002 keeps showing
transmission failsafe program warning. It has a
little "bumps" while accelerating and stopping.
Anybody has any idea what could be the problem?

I have the 2005 X5 and it is a glitch that happens is all I can find out. If you turn the car off it resets after 2 minutes. It's worked for me numerous times. My X5's transmission gets clunky in stop and go traffic and then usually the Fail Safe mode turns on. The first time it happened I didn't know at the time about the reset and so I took it to my mechanic and he said nothing is wrong. So the next time it happened I finally found something on the internet about it resetting. Now I've started to commute and today is the second day I drove it in traffic and both days it went into Fail Safe. I was online trying to see if there is a fix yet, but doesn't look like it. Time for me to get rid of it!!! Good luck with yours.
