How can I unlock my 02 BMW X5 door when batter is disconnected

Hi my 02 BMW X5 3.0i runs great, yesterday when I turned it on, I found the
heater control panel stops working, and there is no power. even when I
turned off my engine, the climate fan still running, I can not stop it, so I
opened the trunk and manually disconnected battery and stopped the
climate fan's running. However, when I tried to use my key to open the door
today because battery is disconnected, and I cannot open the door now, the
key does not work. Thank you if I can have answers from the experts here.

You have to use your key to open the trunk & connect the battery. The key lock on the doors are electric. (Some bright engineer who is paid far more than we are came up with that idea!) Hope this helps.

Many thanks for your help, would you further please tell me how I can use my key to open my 02 BMW X5 trunk? once I can open trunk, I know how to connect the battery, thank you again! Albert

If there isn't a key lock then u have to call or roadside assistance and have them pull the inside door handle...

The X5 doesn't have a lock cylinder on the trunk. The only one is on the driver door, which should be able to override the power locks. I've never head of the key not doing that, that sounds like an awful design.
