Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Battery light is on and today the car did not turn
on I read the handbook for my BMW z3 (year 2000)
2.3 roadster it says the car needs to be driven often
at high speeds or the battery may not get
Significant charge and may cause problems in the
future. I tried not to drive it to often because I still
gotta change three sensors.  Any ideas on how I
should tackle this problem??? Would grately
appreciate it!!

Well either the charging system is not working which you could check at the battery when it is running with a digital multi-meter, put it on DC volts, it should read around 14.2 volts. Next would be a old battery, but if the battery is still in good shape, you may want to invest in to a battery tender. You just leave this connected to the battery and it will keep it charged up without overcharging. This will keep the battery good.
