98 vw cabrio died, when cranking oil light flashing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving when my car shudder to a halt.
When I try to restart it it cranks but won't
start. During the cranking the oil pressure
light flashes, and the speedometer needle
wiggles at 0 mph. Any suggestions on what
it could be?

Have you checked the oil level?

Yeah. The oil level was fine. It turned out to be the alternator of all things. And the flashing oil light was because the pump wasn't receiving power. A new one is on order
