1999 chevy expresd 5.7 vortec

Ran fine. Sat two days ,wouldnt start,sat a day,
started right up, shut off hasnt started since.
Replaced cap and rotor twice,  62 psi, good spark,
crank sencer, etherdoes nothing, security light
comes on with key, goes out after 7 second with
key on or cranking

It did this about 7 years ago and i remembered speaking with a mechanic and he looked on his forom. It HAS to be a factory cap. Aftermarket one blow right thru.

Ac Delco and Duralast distributor caps are made by the same co.. Wells, after 3- Duralast caps, put a Delco on, that's when I found out same company makes both. So, now we wait, If after a heavy rain and no spark...I just read a service bulletin regarding the very issue, screens in distributor have to be popped out, told dealership this and they blew me off. As I said now we wait.....
