01 vw golf gls 1.8t - turn on ignition (not engine), all lights come on but sometimes the EPC light flashes. Whenever this happens, the car will start for a second and turn off again. What's happening

whats happening is .. the car is ... possessed!!!! no there is probably a problem with a sensor. have it scanned from a vw/audi specialist shop to help pin point the issue.
