2002 manual golf 2.0 wont start

Asked by strazz4 Mar 31, 2015 at 09:40 AM about the 2002 Volkswagen Golf GL 2.0 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car died and it does not turn over when I try to start it. The radio comes on when I turn
the key but pushing the clutch in to start does nothing. Could it be the starter or
something else?

is the battery well charged are there any clicks

I was driving long distance beforehand and stopped then it didn't start. There's no clicking sounds.
