Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a crank no start problem with my 2001 gti so
the problem started like a day before I would be driving
and my car would stall but would still start up
sometimes would have to use starting fluid. Now my
car won't start I've replaced the relays fuel pump crank
sensor cam sensor knock sensor throttle boddy and
sensor plugs wires and coil pack and the car still won't
start the epc light is on and only sometimes the check
engine light will come on. If anyone has any
suggestions I'm all open

You should have come here first before spending all that money on parts you don't need , start with reading the code and get the definition

Sounds like a computer (PCM) failure. But have the PCM diagnosed by a shop. They're not cheap and will most likely need to be programmed using your VIN before it will work and no, a used one will not be plug and play either. Jim
