Temperature sensor
1 Answer
rad temp sensor i take it, Well a rad sensor requires the car in service position and the entire timing belt to be removed on a v6 modal and not 100% but im sure on the 1.8 modal as well. This requires the cars service position and the job can take up to 4-8 hrs to complete. When you have the car this far apart its usually best to change all the pulleys hardware, tensioner, timing belt, water pump and the therm o stat at once. The 1.8 your looking at a 600 -1000$ job for a v6 modal your looking at any where between a 800-1400$ job. Your going to need a vw or audi specialist to do the work because a regular shop won't have the tools to do this kinda work.i did my audi with a 2.8L v6 at the audi dealer with all original parts and it cost me 1400$ you canget the parts yourself in a kit from blau auto for much cheaper tho you will still end up with a garage spending half a day on your car almsot.
