P0300 misfire - cylinders 2, 4, & 6 - already replaced all plugs/wires, cap/rotor, cleaned
throttle body, replaced crankshaft sensor, & throttle pedal sensor. Want do pressure test
to check for vacuum leaks but don't know the specs & have tirelessly searched the net.

Thanks, I finally found some info as well. I found it to be 9.4:1 KPA which seems to be in about the same range of what your giving. We will check injector's as well.
There is definitely a differential in the cylinder/spark plug pressure #4 only had 32 PSI. I didn't bother checking all of them since there was more than a 10% difference in the 3 I checked. From what I understand its indicative of needing to replace the head gasket. So that may be my next venture.
Would there be a different diagnosis or outcome based on the other readings? I didn't think it would make a difference but I am no car specialist...lol I'm just a girl going off Chilton's and some information off the net.
I had a random misfire on both my chevy trucks with 5.7 engines, both with 200K + miles. Changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, tps, map sensor, knock sensor, cleaned the maf sensor on my 98 chevy. Nothing helped, The truck even got worse. Replaced the distributor on the 98 and all was solved. So I replaced the distributor on the 97 without changing all the other stuff and it now runs perfectly. Got the distributors off ebay from kjmperformance for $55. The best thing about this part is it has an aluminum base, not plastic like the factory one so I'm hoping it's going to last at least as long at the original.
1999 chevy tahoe will only run if number 7 spark plug is off.Don't no y
I'm having problems as well number 1 cylinder reads 91 pounds of compression and the other 7 range between 45 to 65 and that's while running. Dk if it makes a difference or not whether it's started or not? ??? Any help you can give is greatly appreciated
The gauge test we used is in psi and it screws into the plug hole n the test was done with engine running
I'm going to get a new tester soon and will update
Also - this engine is famous for the intake manifold gasket leaking and this often causes misfire indications on cylinders. Check to make sure you have not been losing coolant and pressure check your coolant system. If you replace it, make sure you use the FelPro PREMIUM intake manifold gasket - not the standard one.
I went through a spell where I was getting misfire codes and replaced everything I could replace and finally just got a code reader and reset the code when it came up... Then one day I accidently fixed it. I replace the front and back Universal on the drive shaft. The misfire codes it seems are based on vibration sensors. The universals under load were putting those exact vibrations into the vibration detectors. haven't had the fault in years.
I have a 1998 chevy and 2 off the reading are 60 psi and the rest are 120psi what you think
