Will not start

Asked by Guru2LDR May 10, 2017 at 11:02 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban C1500 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It will not start and it is getting gas the starter is
good and it's is getting fire is there a sensor that
will go out that will make it sound like it has
jumped time when I'm trying to start it it will turn
over a few times then kick back and backfire and it
drags the starter down

Run a compression test to determine the timing chain has jumped.
