Horn continues to honk when battery is connected.

Why does the horn keeps going off when battery is hooked up.  Cannot get horn to stop.  Car has been sitting over a year.

The alarm is probably activated. Try locking, then unlocking the door key to deactivate.

If your honk is activated as a loud and constant honk and your wipes are activated too then youre conectibg wring the battery (that happened to me). Remember that VW used a red cable for the negative terminal, and that confuses us a lot!!
