94 Jetta will crank but won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 94 Jetta that I bought recently. The guy swapped out the radio he had in for the stock radio and
now it won't start. Cranks, but doesn't start like I said. I have a feeling it has to do with the anti theft
system or the ecu. Please help.

I already did its hooked up correctly. The engine cranks but doesn't fire/
Try some starting fluid. If it fires, it's a fuel delivery problem.
Its not getting any spark from the coil, haven't gotten around to checking if its getting fuel but I believe it has something to do with the antitheft system, manual says it won't let the car start if you don't put the code in the radio after its taken out and put back in I know the code but the radio doesn't work and I know I got it plugged in correctly I think there's some sort of radio fuse that is messed up. any ideas?
check ground wires everywhere he was, a bad connection could cause this.
