Will An VR6 Engine From A 1998 VW Jetta Fit In A 2000 VW Jetta

I Have A 2000 VW Jetta And I Need A New Engine And I Found A 1998 Vr6 But I'm Not Sure If It Will Fit.

Find a VW forum and ask the people that have done it. You should check in a couple of places so you don't end up with a engine you can't use.

Probably the 1998 engine has the intake made of aluminum if this is correct, it is an earlier version of the engine. It cn be installed but the correct engine was installed after after 1999.
