Stall no start

I hit an armadillo in my 2001 volkswagen jetta
station wagon, car died and will not restart, not
sure if it got the crank sensor or if there is a fuel
shutoff valve on this car. Any ideas?

If the problem was with a crank sensor you should have a trouble code. You don't mention if the car cranks, or if it cranks but doesn't start. If it fails to even crank, check all the battery and starter connections. The starter is vulnerable to road debris, that would be a good place to start.
