Rough idle after timing belt replacement

Asked by Sienna_2197 Feb 04, 2017 at 04:27 AM about the 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed my timing belt and when I started it it
sounds really rough and wants to die. What could
this be? How would I adjust the timing?

You will need to adjust the timing, you will need a timing gun, to adjust you will turn the distributor to retard or advance the timing. Never done it, look who yo adjust on the web before trying
