Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car alarm has taken to randomly going off.  This has been happening in the
middle of the night and I have disconnected the battery.  What can I do to
disable the alarm but still be able to lock the car?

I'll try that. We didn't lock it at all after turning it on and running it a minute and it didn't go off again last night. Next we'll try locking it with the door switch. Thanks

01 vw jetta 2.0L alarm keeps going off when I lock it with the key fob and maunally. I have undone the cable on the battery for now but cannot lock my doors. How can I get the alarm to stay off or whats causing it?
