VW jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a VE jetta 2003 automatic and when
I start it up and put drive, it wont move. I
noticed that if I constantly move the gears
from neutral to drive, it will start working.
And I only have this problem when the car
is cold. Once it starts moving I dont have
any more problems. What could be the
problem?

I cannot check the transmittion fluid level since there ir no dipstick.
Then there is a plug somewhere to pull out. Best go to a garage and have it checked. I'm thinking you should go to a trany shop to have it checked out anyway in case there is a slight problem that could be corrected. A trany shop would do a proper diagnosis.

Alright thanks. I just wanted to leave the shop as my last option but anyways it appears to be the only way I can get it fixed. Thanks for your advice.
