CEL doesn't want to go off

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

was annoyed with my CEL light coming on and realized that buying a cheapie
UBS charger to charge my phone was throwing off the ECM. After I pulled my
UBS from the 12v charger, the CEL went off. Thought I might share the tip if
someone else is having issues or annoyed with their CEL being on.

If a power cable pulls more than 12V it will illuminate the CEL. Replace cord or see if phone battery is bad. Too many amps and high resistance.
