I have a 03 jetta 1.8t, and its an auto with the kickstick. When I use the kickstick, it shifts on its own. Is there any way to get it to only shift when I want it to? Any infomation is greatly thanked.

Hi jtadloc! I'm going to include a link to a transmission troubleshooting guide below but I think we are looking at a settings issue. This sound like something you need to put in front on the Service Manager at your local VW dealer. Good luck!http://www.procarcare.com/includes/content/resourcecenter/encyclopedia/ch21/21TSautotranny.html
Does it always shift on its own? Or only sometimes (low gear, high rpm, etc?) Most tiptronics will shift on their own if they deem it necessary. They give you more control but not total control.
