Replace Transmission

I own a 2005 VW Jetta 2.5L with over 120K. I found out that the transmission is
slipping in 3rd gear. Had the car diagnosed at Advanced Auto, the malfunction
code is P0733; gear 3 incorrect ratio. I am contemplating purchasing a used
transmission online. I know that labor is a separate expense, but I cannot afford
another car at this time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The clerk at auto zoo is not a technician , find someone that know about this and see what can be done .

Now that you have the trouble code you can visit a reputable transmission shop. But unfortunately it's going to cost more to fix than the vehicle is worth. Time for a new vehicle, in my opinion. Hope that helps! Jim
