Car not shifting

06 vw automatic 2.5 jetta
I was driving the car jerked a little then stopped
accelerating and PRNDS lit up. I had to coast down
to the next exit. Since the the car will start but not
shift into any gear. The code it showed was p0714.
There was already a code that neither I or the
mechanic could figure out from before this which
was p2404

Does it stall when put into a gear? Give your lower thermostat housing sensors a check. Did y'all test alternator, check spark plugs? Could be a fuel filter, clogged injectors. Does it turn over at all? Sorry pretty vague question but here are some ideas.
