Question type: General

My 1998 VW Beetle will not crank because I cannot get the alarm system to turn off. I don't have a remote for it. I can't turn it off on the passengers door because the lock is broken and it will not turn off from the drivers door. Please help me.....I guess the best thing to do is just disconnect it? Can you tell me how to do this? And its a stick shift.

Never got it disarmed but I did get it reset by opening the trunk and leaving the driver door open. It cranks now but I don't lock it. Plus I have it up for sale and bought a explorer. Anyone interested email me. It's been serviced and has new tires and stereo in it. 149000 miles to.
