Oil leaking

Asked by Meaghan Apr 09, 2018 at 02:53 PM about the 1998 Volkswagen Beetle 2 Dr STD Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is a manual and I ran out side to "warm" it
up and had it running for about 2 minutes staying
still, then just all my oil dumped on to the ground
and has none in it now. Why is that??

start looking for signs of a bad oil line if its this old you may have just had an oil cooler line burst i know the lines on my old car were preaty pitted and rotten before i sold it in 2013. also check the oil filter housing they tend to leak a bit. getting under there will really kinda help.
