2000 vw beetle 2.0L wont start

My 2000 vw beetle will not start. I used starting fluid a couple times and sometimes it
started. I just had a mechanic to check my fuel pump and filter and it was fine. I just cant
seem to find out what the problem is. It tries to start up but it will not run

That just happened to my 2000 VW Beetle. They replaced the camshaft sensor. If I remember correctly. Now it's fine.
