2000 VW bug a/c and fan do not work- how do I fix it?

Asked by dhs_2000VW Oct 31, 2010 at 02:26 PM about the 2000 Volkswagen Beetle GLS 2.0

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The a/c was wporking fine. Then the switch to turn the fan on got stuck. I twisted it a few times and it started to work. Then the next time I used the car nothing worked. The a/c button will  not light up (showing that it is on) and the fan does not work.
