I have a 2000 vw beetle 2.0 and it tries to start but it wouldnt. I changed my crank sensor and it started up 2 times. When i parked it out and i came back out 30 minutes later it wouldnt start. I sprayed starter fluid in it and it started up but as it was trying to start it back fired. What do that mean? Could it be my spark plugs and wires

1998 beetle. Went for oil change. As soon as they completed it my check engine light came on. They checked code, was some emmissions code. Okay so the light goes out 2 days later. A few days later the car wont start, like it is out of gas, it's turning but not catching. I let it sit for 1/2 hr then it starts and the engine light back on. Everything fine for a few days then the same thing happens out of the blue. Just happened again to me. Car was fine, no light on then i go somewhere, park it, get back in and it wont start like its out of gas...let it sit for half hour and then it starts like nothing was wrong and the engine light back on now. What could be wrong? I am not out of gas. Did the guy doing the oil change/new filter mess something up? 6 Answers

I have a 2012 VW beetle turbo for a while it was slow to start. then one day after my day off I went to start it and it turned once and all the electrical shut off then came back on. I waited a couple minutes and tried to start it again it turned over a couple of times and then started. after driving it to work and then home with the same problem when starting it, i went to put up the windows after the car was off and they closed at a slower and labored rate and the car horn when locking it was low in volume. I had the battery check and they said it was fine and the indicator on the battery says it's fine but it has to be the battery right. 2 Answers
