I have a 2000 vw beetle 2.0 and it tries to start but it wouldnt. I changed my crank sensor and it started up 2 times. When i parked it out and i came back out 30 minutes later it wouldnt start. I sprayed starter fluid in it and it started up but as it was trying to start it back fired. What do that mean? Could it be my spark plugs and wires

I had them checked and gas came out of it. Does that still mean I need to replace them?

Hard to say. If that is the problem then yes. When did you change them last???
Time to replace them. Get good ones, not the cheapest one's.
