2000 VW Beetle Problems

Asked by Jane Feb 02, 2016 at 07:30 AM about the 2000 Volkswagen Beetle GLS 1.8T

Question type: General

My 2000 Voltswagen Beetle has been having some
issues lately. Some things that just popped up
recently, that never happened before. One problem
is when I open my driver side door, my engine shuts
off (when the car is in gear and in neutral). My
battery light also comes on. The second is when I
flip down my visors, the automatic lights DO NOT
turn on! Help is much needed, my local foreign car
mechanic doesn't know what's wrong.
