99 tahoe wont start right away when parked for days.

Tahoe not a daily driver. But now when I try to start it when parked for days it trys to start but wont. I come back 15 min later then it will start. Now when you punch it in park it seems to sputter a little bit at higher RPM. Also when driving and you punch it it will sputter and not shift in to passing gear. Fuel pump about 4 years old and only 20k on it.99 2door no engine codes at all.All wires and plugs replaced with all Delco.Pump Airtex.

sounds like a fuel suplpy problem. i would measure fuel pressure. if its less than 65 psi at start up, either the filter is plugged, or the pump could be bad.

i sold airtex pumps for 3 years your lucky if you can get one in a chevy to last longer then a year..
