1Y0871341 Guide for 2003 VW Convertible Headliner

Asked by RickMc1952 Aug 09, 2023 at 01:32 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Beetle GL Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 New Beetle Convertable with broken guides for the headliner, the
plastic slides and coeds that go on either side and provide tension  on the
headliner. Volkswagen no longer makes the parts. Has anyone found a
workaround?

Don’t know of any. Have you tried an automotive upholstery shop?

Yes, no luck so far. Sad that Volkswagen would abandon cars over ten years old. Thought maybe someone else had run into this and had a miracle cure. Thanks for reply.
