How much for replacing timing belt on 2003 Volkswagon Beetle 2003

I'm thinking of buying a 2003 Beetle GLS that I don't think had the timing belt changed &
has 120,000 miles & need to know what I might have to fix soon

Rough estimate $3-400. Have them replace the water pump too. It runs off the timing belt.
