My 2004 Vw bug will not start..

I when in to meet friends for dinner....came back out and the car was complete dead...no power any place... Tried to jump it and was still completely dead?? Any ideas?? Just put in a new battery about a week ago...

yes...the 1/0 black cable at the ground/chassis is weak from the dis-similar metals used, over time has "welded" itself...clean the 1/0 lug and the place that it is bolted to with a coarse wirebrush to assure 300 cold cranking amps potential~
If you have no power anywhere your batteries gone dead again. Hook up a DVOM ( digital volt ohms meter ) in series with battery on amps setting. If it show more than .05 amps you have a persitic draw somewhere. Like a glove box light that stays on. Good luck
Unplug sell phone chargers and all accesories off engune off, keep doors closed when testing for a draw
