what does epc mean on a 2005 vw beetle

EPC and this usually means that the Electronic Throttle Body needs replacing and reprogramming

epc means the car needs to be scanned because an error ocured in the system. Take the car to a vw specialist shop with ROSS Tech scanning software to have it properly diagnosed
