same problem with me. which fuse would this be?? i need to know asap
NOT the fuse. There are separate fuses for left/right tail lights. It is the headlight on/off switch. You can take the switch apart and clean contacts or replace.
Check the rear light assemblies carefully. Some imports, like the 1998 Honda have an additional module installed in the driver side assembly that also monitors power to all the rear lights. When the module starts going bad it does some strange things with the rear lights. If you have such a module, disconnect and remove it physically, check the contacts and spray them with a contact cleaner and lubricant, dry it up, and then reinstall it, making sure it's connected back properly and aligned as before. This module also contains a light sensor to determine outside vehicle brightness to turn on/off daytime running lights, and also report back to the system if theres any issues with the rear lights. Just to let you know, this is not a module that normally goes bad, and I've only seen it go bad once over the years, but it is a hard module to find for a decent price. The driver side rear area is usually where most vehicles get hit in an accident, thus damaging these modules. Also make sure the connector that it plugs into from the vehicle wiring harness is sprayed with that same electrical parts cleaner and reconnected firmly. Good luck.
Where is location of modules for driver side parking lights in vw Passat 2004? Thank you very much.
Fuse. Inside cover over left side of dash, must open door to find. 5 amp. Small card shows "P" then either left or right arrows.
The taillight on the driver side of my 2004 Passat won’t come on when the headlights are on but when you press the brakes the brake lights work what could be the problem? And if it’s a fuse what fuse do I change
When applying my brakes the back brakes lined up but my taillight on the driver side will not come on what could be the problem? And if it’s a fuse I’m looking at the fuse box but don’t know which teams to check
