gas lid switch is broken, 98 Passat. How to open manually?

The switch to open the gas lid is broken on my 98 Passat.  HOw do you open the lid
manually?

You will have to go through trunk,to get to the actuator,from there you can grab the cable on top of actuator motor,and pull it.
