I have a 2012 Volkswagen Passat I cannot access to my trunk the key doesn't work the hand switch in the back doesn't work and inside the car doesn't work
Thank you Ed92626. Your answer was the solution to my problem. Some bothered it or accidentally touched it. Again thank you and have positive and productive life.
This was the answer. Strangely, it is not in the owners manual.
Great solution, glad someone (ED926260 knows the score! After checking for a blown fuse, VW no hep there, the owners manual only tells where fuses are located with no diagram of what fuse protects which circuit. Guess VW wants you to see the dealer and pay big bucks to turn off the lockout switch! Thank you for your insight. Keep up the good work.
We just had the trunk problem of not opening with remote, the drivers side trunk release button, or the manual trunk release in the trunk. One of us got in the trunk through the back seat and pushed up on the outer edges of the trunk lid. It opened, tried it several times with remote, door switch and inside truck latch all worked several times. Not sure what happened but it works now.

I have a problem with my 2012 Passat estate boot not opening. Just a short clicking sound when I try. This sounds similar to previous posted questions but I can’t see the answer posted by Ed92626. (I’ve found the switch to open it from inside) Any thoughts anyone? Thanks
