02 passat v6 cracked oil pan

02 Passat v6 hit bump and cracked the oil pan then few minutes later heard
this ticking sound looked didnt see anything so was driving to station heard
ticking start again and noticed oil light flashing so turned off motor and
coasted to a stop when came back out few minutes later puddle of oil on
ground  now found cracked hole in pan was going to repair but when turned
engine over noticed ticking still so unsure if its worth the effort to repair
what your opinion

Put a fork in it , it's done . You can fix the pan but the ticking won't go away and will probably get worse and turn into a knock . That's one hell of a bump were you out 4 wheelin'

Most likely did internal engine damage, the problem with warning lights is when they turn on its already too late.

Don't start the car again, change the oil pan and the fill with oil and replace the oil filter. The ticking could be just from low oil level. You might be ok IMO and have done minimal damage. Up to you if you want to take the chance.
