Asked by Glenn Oct 19, 2018 at 09:08 PM about the 2006 Volkswagen Passat 3.6L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Passat. 3.6. The cars gage was steady at
about 190 the overflow was not showing any signs of
overheating it was full of fluid. I ran the car for about 20
minutes and all of the sudden the gage maxed out and I let
off the throttle and the car shut off. Please help I don't
know what's going on.

Might have a restriction in the radiator. You could have or DIY a pressure test to check. Good Luck!
