98 blazer starts and shuts off

When trying to start it cuts right back off i thought it was
the battery because the interior lights went out as well after
trying to start it up the next morning i went outside to see if
it would start but before i tried to start it i heard a
clicking/humming noise coming from the dash area and it
went away after i tried to start it again
