I started our 98 Chevy blazer was in 4wheel drive and had not been engaged. When I pressed the button on dash to put in 2wd lights start flashing and won't change right away had keep trying to get it

Started my 98 Chevy blazer this
morning and was in 4wd it has done
this couple times since we got car,
when pushing button to switch to
2wd you can hear the electronics
trying to change but the lights flash
over and over and I have to keep
trying two or three times to get it
back in 2wd. Could fluids needing
change cause this what is going
wrong???? Need some help so we
can fix thanks for help

could be vacuum problem. have 2001 blazer 4 wheel would not engage lights blinked. vacuum hose was off by firewall

Had same problem with mine. I changed the actuator and it worked great

It's most likely the vacuum diaphragm under the battery. They tend to get corroded and get rotted. You can get all the parts thru Amazon.

I’ve got a “97” Tahoe ,and it did the same thing . In the end all it needed was a new switch. (The switch on the dash) I got one at the Dealer cost $60 for part.
