I found a camaro I am very interested in buying but it is a 1998 with 131000 miles on it. Is that good or bad? Will it last long?

theres a risk when buying any car with that many miles. i would only consider it if i were to buy it as a second car i wouldnt drive everyday, but thats just my view.
I belong to a F-body group/club and we have a few guy that have 200k on them, get you mechanic to look it over first. Best of luck

I actualy have a 1998 camaro....... and yes it basically is bad... not to let you down or anything. My car is beautiful. I got it not running it sat in my driveway for a while. So i took it to the shop to get fixed....eventualy the check engine light came on again....this is only a 100,000 mile engine. well the crank shaft broke in the middle of the road on my way home from school. I am currently selling mine. I have a new engine,clutch,starter,sparkplugs,tune-up,and all wires and pumps. BUT the crank shaft censor still comes on the diagnostic test..... camaros are hard to keep up with,.... when ou get one you love it...but when it breaks down.... not so good... im about 6,000 deep into fxing mine already
I have a 94 camaro with 140,000 miles. It doesnt burn any oil, compression is fine, and it has a small oil pan gasket leak. The suspension just needs a good lube or new bushings, it squeeks a little bit. I know mine is a LT1 and yours is an LS1, the suspensions are almost the same. My point is that if my engine was replaced by the LS1, its probably worth it
