Vacuum Leak or what?!

Asked by Paulie757 Nov 27, 2015 at 09:32 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a '98 Chevy Camaro with a 3.8 V-6, Manual 5 spd.

Sometimes when I start it, it shuts right off unless I give it gas, and keep my foot on the gas to get it to idle.  The moment I take my foot off the gas, it stalls.  This has been happening for 2 weeks.

Any suggestions?

did u replace the fuel filter under the driver side of the car? could be clogged.

Changed it 2 weeks ago at the onset. Had the Fuel Pump replaced a year ago. This is the first time I've even heard of this problem where it won't even idle without my foot on the gas.
